We build and repair
electronics

CLUQUA is an engineering workshop in Santander, Spain. We help companies design, assemble, repair and source parts for electronic equipment.

One workshop, four jobs

Use one on its own, or run several on the same project: the part we source goes on the board we assemble for the controller we repair.

Engineering and R&D

Help with the electronics of a product, from a first idea to a working prototype, or with an existing design that needs to work better.

What we do

  • Feasibility checks and technical research
  • Choosing controllers, sensors and components
  • Reviewing and improving an existing design
  • Making controllers, sensors and communication interfaces work together
  • Prototype support and preparation for assembly

What helps us start

  • What the device must do, and its limits: power, size, environment, interfaces
  • Schematics, firmware notes or test results, if they exist
  • What has already been tried
  • Quantities and timeline, if known

Assembly and soldering

Boards, controllers and modules assembled by hand to your design: prototypes, pilot units and small batches.

What we do

  • Board assembly and component installation
  • Soldering and desoldering
  • Rework and replacement of components
  • Technical modifications to existing assemblies
  • Prototype and small-batch runs

What helps us start

  • A bill of materials with part numbers
  • Schematics or an assembly drawing
  • PCB files, or the bare boards
  • Quantity and deadline
  • Any soldering or finish requirements, so we can tell you if we can meet them

Diagnostics and repair

Find the fault first, then repair at component level where that makes sense. Not every fault is worth repairing, and we say so.

What we do

  • Fault investigation and troubleshooting of boards, controllers and sensor systems
  • Component-level repair, where technically feasible
  • Replacement of damaged or failed parts
  • Servicing and maintenance
  • Restoring and modifying older devices

What helps us start

  • Make and model, or the board itself
  • What the fault looks like and when it appears
  • Photos of the unit and the board
  • Repair history and operating conditions

Component and equipment sourcing

Parts, replacement components and tools for electronics work, found from your specification and quoted before you commit.

What we do

  • Electronic components and replacement parts for controllers, sensors and assemblies
  • Soldering, rework and inspection equipment
  • Matching products to technical specifications
  • Supplier contact and quotations
  • One-off orders and recurring supply

What helps us start

  • Part numbers or a specification
  • Quantity and target date
  • Acceptable alternatives
  • Where the part will be used, if that affects the choice

How a job goes

  1. You describe the jobThe equipment, the specification or the purchase list, with any files you have.
  2. We review itWe come back with questions, or tell you plainly that it is not a fit.
  3. We agree the termsScope, parts, timeline and price, settled before work starts.
  4. We do the workEngineering, sourcing, assembly or repair, and we raise questions as they come up.
  5. We hand it overThe result, a note of what was done, and what we would do next.

Every job is different. Send us yours and we will say whether we can take it.

What lands on our bench

Our work follows the equipment: controllers, sensors, instruments, and the boards inside them.

  • Controllers and embedded hardware

Development support, parts, assembly and servicing of electronic control units.

  • Sensor systems and monitoring

Sensors, modules and the hardware behind data acquisition and monitoring.

  • Building automation

Controllers, sensors and hardware for monitoring and environmental control.

  • IoT and connected devices

Hardware for devices that measure, report and connect.

  • Industrial control

Components, control equipment and technical support, depending on the application.

  • Instruments and test equipment

Sourcing, maintenance and repair of measuring devices and lab equipment.

Prototypes, pilot units and small production runs, too. Something that fits none of these? Describe it and we will say whether we can help.

A workshop in Santander

CLUQUA works with businesses that develop, integrate, operate or maintain electronic devices and control systems. We start from the technical requirement and look for the practical solution, which may be a design change, a replacement part or a repair.

Our aim is to make engineering skill, reliable technical support and component sourcing easy to get for companies that build and run technology. We prefer long relationships: equipment we already know is equipment we can help with faster.

Tell us what you need
